International Affiliation of Writers Guilds

The International Affiliation of Writers Guilds (IAWG) represents guilds of international screenwriters. The objective is to further the cause of screenwriters by urging all governments in the adopting of writer friendly legislations. Collective action must be taken and common representation given to writers as well as moral support.
This international company represents the Writers Guild of South Africa, Mexico, Mumbai, Film Writers Association, Great Britain, Canada, Writers Guild of East and West America, Quebec, Israel, New Zealand, France and the Irish Playwrights and Screenwriters Guild.
The future of writers is unsure when revenues due to Screenwriters are not properly managed and maintained. Writers always have to fight for their fair share of revenue generated from their brilliance. If a country belonging to the International Affiliation of Writers Guilds goes on strike then the other companies in the guild are in full support of the specific country. This affiliation of writers stand together and other writers fight is their fight is their motto. No screenwriter with any self-respect in any country belonging to the (IAWG) will undermine the law and views from the Guild.
The Writers Guild of America, West for example has the same as all the other affiliates, their own website. On their website they have comprehensive information and tools available to their members. Members and employers are welcome to join the websites and news and events surrounding writers, screen writers, and more are available. Writer’s resources and writing tools for writers are available.
Comprehensive information on contracts, compensation, credits, creative rights, diversity, foreign levy programs and a lot more for anyone looking for information on their rights and new members are welcome. Technical support, screen writing links, writers work bench, are some of the categories they have available. Anything writers and producers should know about the industry and for employers looking for a writer is ready on the website.
